Research and Practice of Health Promotion, Volume 02: Ecstasy - Use and Prevention

Inhalt
Illegal drugs, such as ecstasy, amphetamines and LSD, are today an important aspect of the youth and leisure culture of the Nineties, particularly at music and dance events. As there has recently been growing media coverage of the subject of ecstasy, the BZgA commissioned various research projects designed to provide more accurate information concerning the use of this drug and new approaches for prevention. The results of these studies and other new research results were presented and discussed in September 1997 in the framework of a status seminar held by the BZgA.
Volume 2 of the specialist booklet series "Research and Practice of Health Promotion" documents the contents and course of this seminar and reflects the knowledge gained from various studies regarding the use of illegal drugs, such as ecstasy, amphetamines and LSD. It documents the principles, theories and conceptual approaches for promising prevention programmes that were elaborated and discussed in working groups, and presents the recommendations for the prevention of ecstasy use that were formulated on this basis.
